Title: Ham in Honey

1/2 | lb | Ham |
1 | c | Lotus seeds |
1 | c | Mashed pineapple |
SAUCE: | ||
3 | oz | Sugar |
1 | tb | Cooking sherry |
3 | tb | Honey |
Wash and clean ham with hot water. Place in boiling water and cook for 1/2 hour. Drain and remove bones. Cut into long slices.
Arrange better slices of ham around a bowl. Put other pieces on top. Fill the bowl with boiling water and steam for 20 minutes using bamboo steamer. Remove from steamer and pour out the stock.
Wash and drain lotus seeds, place on top of ham. Place mashed pineapple on lotus seeds. Mix sugar with sherry, pour on top of pineapple. Put in steamer to steam for 2 hours.
To prepare a serving dish, overturn the steamed bowl and pour the ham onto a platter. Drain. Pour honey on top and serve.
